FAQs
Welcome to FURology! Here are some commonly asked questions to help you better understand our services:
What services do you offer?
At our salon, we offer a wide range of grooming services tailored to meet the needs of your furry friend. This includes bathing, brushing, hair trimming, nail clipping, ear cleaning, and more. We also offer specialized treatments such as flea baths and de-shedding treatments.
How often should I bring my dog in for grooming?
The frequency of grooming depends on your dog's breed, coat type, and lifestyle. Generally, most dogs benefit from grooming every 4-6 weeks to maintain a healthy coat and skin. However, some breeds may require more frequent grooming, while others may need less.
Do you groom all breeds and sizes of dogs?
Yes, we cater to dogs of all breeds and sizes. From tiny toy breeds to large breeds, our experienced groomers are skilled in handling a variety of coat types and temperaments. *Please Note :: Excessive aggression will be referred to a vet.
Can I stay with my dog during the grooming process?
While we understand that you may want to be with your dog during their grooming session, we find that dogs tend to be more relaxed and cooperative when their owners are not present. Rest assured that our groomers are gentle and compassionate professionals who prioritize your dog's comfort and safety.
How long will the grooming appointment take?
The duration of the grooming appointment depends on various factors such as the size of your dog, the condition of their coat, and the specific services requested. On average, grooming appointments typically last between 1 to 3 hours. However, our team will provide you with an estimated timeframe when you schedule your appointment.
My dog has sensitive skin. Can you accommodate special needs?
Absolutely! We understand that some dogs may have sensitive skin or specific grooming requirements. Please let us know about any special needs or concerns regarding your dog's health or skin condition, and we will tailor our services accordingly, using gentle products and techniques.
Do I need to make an appointment, or do you accept walk-ins?
To ensure that we can provide the best possible care for your dog and accommodate your schedule, we recommend making an appointment in advance.
What measures do you take to ensure the safety of the dogs in your care?
The safety and well-being of every dog entrusted to us are our top priorities. Our salon is equipped with secure facilities and trained staff who are experienced in handling dogs of all temperaments. We maintain a clean and sanitized environment to prevent the spread of germs and use only high-quality grooming products that are safe for dogs.
What if my dog has matting or tangles in their coat?
Matting and tangles can be uncomfortable for your dog and may lead to skin irritation if not addressed promptly. Our skilled groomers have the expertise and tools to safely and effectively remove mats and tangles from your dog's coat - if and only if your dog allows us to do so. We prioritize your dog's comfort above all else and will never compromise it for the sake of achieving a perfectly groomed coat. Depending on the severity of the matting, additional grooming time and charges may apply.
How can I maintain my dog's coat between grooming appointments?
Regular brushing at home is key to keeping your dog's coat healthy and free from mats and tangles. We can provide guidance on the proper grooming techniques and recommend suitable brushes and grooming tools for your dog's coat type. Additionally, maintaining a balanced diet and ensuring your dog gets enough exercise and hydration can contribute to overall coat health.
